On 17 March 2010, Exeter College purchased Ruskin College’s campus on Walton Street. It will become Exeter’s “third quad” in the heart of Oxford.

Following a competitive selection process involving five architectural practices from the UK and US, Alison Brooks Architects (ABA) won the contest to design the College’s new premises.

The new site will offer extensive teaching and study space, a lecture theatre, a café, 90 student bedrooms, sets for Fellows and archive space for the College’s special collections.

In autumn 2012, Exeter College officially took possession of the site. Demolition work began in spring 2014 and the premises are scheduled to open in time for Michaelmas Term 2016.

We are delighted to launch our new blog site dedicated to the development of Exeter’s third quadrangle, to be named Cohen Quad, on Walton Street.

We will be blogging regularly from the Development Office as the building takes shape.  Do sign up for updates on the right-hand side of this page.
